To give you an idea of just how magical the stretch of Mediterranean coastline is, here are five of our favourite beaches:

Puerto Banús, Beach

Let’s start with the most famous beach on the Costa del Sol, Puerto Banús. Adjacent to the beautiful marina, home to visiting super yachts and lined with restaurants, cafes, bars and beach clubs such as the Ocean Beach Club and La Sala Beach Club, this 1 kilometre stretch of golden sand, is the epitome of Marbella. It is the perfect place for sunbathing, swimming, water sports, such as jet skiing or parasailing. You can take a boat trip or simply soak up the mountain and sea views.  Then when the sun goes down, the temperature rises, as the bars and clubs come to life. Needless to say, luxury property for sale in Puerto Banús doesn’t stay on the market for long!

Casablanca Beach

Casablanca Beach is located on the highly sought-after and possibly most famous stretch of coastline in the world, Marbella’s Golden Mile. It has all of the usual facilities including water sports and access to the superb promenade, which is great for a job, walk, cycle or just watching the world go by. As expected on this exclusive area, there are some great restaurants and beach clubs to try, including Trocadero Petit Playa, where you can enjoy a long drink, meal and soak up the sunshine on a sunbed.

Nagüeles Beach

Nagüeles Beach is also located on Marbella’s Golden Mile, running parallel to two of the most famous icons of Marbella, the aforementioned Marbella Club Hotel and the Puente Romano Beach Resort and with the dramatic Sierra Blanca mountain backdrop. On the beach you can relax and unwind at one of the many chiringuitos and restaurants, including the Trocadero Playa Restaurant. Just a few minutes from the beach you’ll find designer stores, more restaurants, including Málaga’s very own Michelin starred chef Dani García, boutique hotels like Boho House, nightclubs including the famous Marbella establishment Olivia Valere and much more.

With the Sierra Blanca mountains as a backdrop, this exclusive stretch of beach attracts the affluent and hosts elite events. Nearby, you’ll find top-notch hotels and restaurants, including Michelin-starred establishments like Dani García’s. For a touch of historical charm, the old bridge over the Nagüeles Stream, known as Puente Romano, is a notable relic of ancient engineering. It’s now a hidden gem within a luxury complex, blending seamlessly into the residential gardens.

Cabopino Beach, Marbella East

Last but not least, just a few minutes’ drive from the city centre, you’ll find Cabopino. Located in the area referred to as Marbella East, this beautiful beach is famed for its sand dunes “Las dunas de Artola”.  You can also snooze, read or simply relax under the natural shade of the large palm trees dotted along the beach.
